Life isn’t easy for Elsie Brown! No one understands her and everyone thinks that she is a geek, just because she loves books! So when things get tough for Elsie, she opens her book and she writes. In that book she can make the mean girls pay and her horrible siblings suffer. She can decide what happens and that control makes everything work perfectly. That is until the stories come to life and the disgruntled characters want Elsie to put everything right. Can Elsie do it? Can she rewrite her stories to include a happy ending for once? Jump inside ‘The Secret Book of Elsie Brown’ to find out. This is an original production, written and directed by Bare Bones Theatre.
Performed by Bare Bones Youth Company, [Blank] is a hard-hitting yet witty play that explores the impact the criminal justice system has on families and how, often, children are the silent victims of crime.
Blank contains strong language and themes and is not suitable for children under the age of 12.
