Bare Bones was started in 2012 by Sinead Hamilton and Emily Parker.  Sinead and Emily met twenty five years ago when they studied drama together at Barnet College.

Sinead then went on to study a BA ( Hons ) Degree in Contemporary Arts at Nottingham Trent University, and then a PGCE in Secondary Drama. She took on the role as Head of Drama and Dance at Stoke Newington Media Arts College, where she taught for 10 years.

Emily majored in Dance at Middlesex University where she obtained a BA ( Hons ) in Performing Arts. She then studied Acting and Voice at The Central School of Speech and Drama. She has worked with companies such as Cut to the Chase, the resident company at The Queens Theatre in Hornchurch, where she also worked as a choreographer. She has also worked as a voice over artist and session singer, and as an associate with the National Youth Theatre, and Chickenshed Theatre Company.

Both Sinead and Emily made departures from their teaching and acting careers to focus on their young families, but with their shared passion for working with young people and for the arts, it seems like fate that Bare Bones should bring them together.

Angharad Toal Joined the Bare Bones team two years ago. Ang met Sinead and Emily when her daughter joined Bare Bones. She very quickly recognised their passion and creativity. Ang is now fully involved in all areas of Bare Bones’ work, writing and devising sessions for both Little Bare Bones and Bare Bones Children.

Ang studied BA Education (music) at UWIC, Cardiff and went on to become a primary school teacher in the midlands before moving to London. She taught for 15 years before taking a break from education to focus on her family. Her passion for working with children and the arts led her to Bare Bones. She hasn’t looked back.

All Bare Bones staff are fully CRB checked and hold Red Cross First Aid certificates.

Also working in the background is Owen Parker, creating bespoke and tailor made music for all age groups. Owen is a Grammy nominated songwriter, musician and producer, whose credits include Kaiser Chiefs, Peter Gabriel, Girls Aloud, Pet Shop Boys, Robbie Williams and Simple Minds amongst others.
